As we know, the MotoGP technical regulations which will replace the current regulations and will apply from 2027 will soon be officially released. Or at least the first draft will start being paid in installments to inform the public of plans around the French Grand Prix at Le-Mans next weekend.
MotoGP is already very ready to move from 1000cc to 850 cc capacity. One thing that might change is the change in the maximum bore value which is currently set at 81 mm, who knows what the value will be later when it is announced. . Maybe around 70 mm.
However, it seems that crucial figures such as Bore Value, Cubication and other technical corridor matters have been informed to all manufacturers because in fact 2027 is only 3 seasons away and to create something new, it is clear that manufacturers must start this project as early as possible. One that has acknowledged this is Aprilia racing
One of the technical officials of the manufacturer based in Noale, Italy – Albesiano, said: “We have started work on the 2027 motorbike. The most important issues have been decided. The first part we work on is the engine for which the motorbike layout must be made.
” Each team will try to bring the new bike to the track in the spring of 2026, or maybe even earlier, we’ll see. This will divert resources from developing bikes that will be in use until 2026. This is a big commitment for the manufacturer.”
