As we both discussed in last weekend’s article, information from journalist Mat Oxley emerged that Gigi Dall’Igna showed his interest in attracting Marc Marquez to the factory Ducati team to team up with Pecco Bagnaia next year. Apart from the Ducati chatter, after the Jerez test Pecco Bagnaia was asked by journalists about what Marc Marquez could give to Ducati if he officially joined.
Pecco answered; “He has been coming from the Honda factory for eleven years, so he will bring something more and adapt well, but today we were already at a very high level and very attentive to details,”
“Most of the things we tried today (Monday-test Jerez) were aimed at reducing chatter and we already tried it on Friday, whereas usually we just try to adapt, so we checked again and the sensation was positive. Then we focused on a setup that could help us on tracks with less grip like in Barcelona,
“Over the weekend, thanks to the changes, we didn’t experience any chatter, but we have to be careful. At Montmelo we will know more because this is critical. The feeling is that the more grip, the more the bike shakes, but that’s not the case here.”
