For the year 2025, the agenda of the Indonesian National Team (the national football team) includes several very important international competitions and matches. Here is the estimated agenda for the Indonesian national football team for 2025, although some dates may change depending on the official schedule released by PSSI and international football bodies:

  1. 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

The Indonesian national team is one of the Southeast Asian countries that advanced to the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian Zone, which is divided into 3 groups, and Indonesia is in Group C along with other Asian countries such as Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and China. Currently, Indonesia has completed 3 matches and is in 5th place in the temporary Group C standings with three points, just one point behind the second to fourth places occupied by Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, each currently holding four points.

Meanwhile, in 2025, the Indonesian National Team will face four important matches in the competition for the second position in Group C standings. From those four matches, they are divided into two months, namely :

          March 2025

  • March 20, 2025 (away match): Australia vs Indonesia National Team
  • March 25, 2025 (home match): Indonesia National Team vs Bahrain
    June 2025
  • June 5, 2025 (home match): Indonesia National Team vs China
  • June 10, 2025 (away match): Japan vs Indonesia National Team
  1. ASEAN Football Federation Championship / AFF CUP 2025
  • December 2025: The AFF Cup 2025 is likely to be held in December. The Indonesian national team has the potential to participate in the tournament, which is one of the prestigious events in Southeast Asia.
  1. Friendly Match

Throughout 2025, the Indonesian national team can also schedule several international friendly matches to prepare for the World Cup or AFF Cup qualifiers. This could take place in months such as March, June, September, or November, depending on the established FIFA matchday schedule. This is important to do considering that the Indonesian National Team currently has a new head coach, so the chemistry between the players and the coach needs to be built.

  1. SEA Games 2025 (team U-22 atau U-23)
  • May 2025: The 2025 SEA Games will be held in Thailand, with the football event involving the U-22 or U-23 Indonesian team. Although this is more focused on young players, this event remains important for the development of Indonesian football.
  1. AFC Championship 2025 U-23 Qualifiers
  • June – October 2025: Qualification for the AFC U-23 Championship tournament, if Indonesia successfully advances to that stage. This competition becomes an important event for the Indonesian U-23 national team in preparation for the AFC U-23 Championship.

The exact schedule and changes can sometimes occur due to adjustments from PSSI, AFC, or FIFA. Therefore, make sure to follow the official announcements from PSSI for the latest information regarding the Indonesian national team’s schedule.
